The decision was settled to divide the calendar of development in three phases


> Phase 1 June/july :

Working time predominance: Searching process> programmation > design

Objectives:

Spread the project.
Develop the research around chronologies: collective and historic memory on social movements and social transformation.
Built in an inclusive and participatory way the architecture of the database (categories, definitions, search engine, input form).
Propose methodologies to make it and try to systematize the process stimulating it as soon as needed and possible.
Exchange on database language and system, spread project to groups involved in maps and social transformation, define which system and languages will be used in first part development database.

Organization:

Activating an elist chronos@euromovements.info to exchange between people involved in this participatory research,
Collecting all exchanges and working documents inside the co-publication tool on internet (tiki wiki) of the euromovements network: www.europeanguide.tk/, to make visible and open the development of the exchanges,
Settle the presentation of the project inside the website of euromovements

Phase 2: July/August 2005

Predominance: Research > programation > design

Objectives:

Researching information about political and social mobilizations in europe,
Systematizing knowledge produced in exchanges,
Defining list of documents to be worked with database programmers
Developping first version database and search engine
Starting to think, exchange and work on design interfase for the database

Mid July: concens on the first information structure proposal to programmers of the database. Meaning to settle a first list of definitions, entrances and categories in order to program the input form of the database

Developing a design proposal of the visual interface for the database

Last week of august: show first database test version to direct people involved in its development – euromovements participants and all the actors participating in the research process– make exchanges and develop the database version 1.0 on basis on ideas and recommendations merging– First week of September spread it around and contact actors and groups to see it and insert datas

Technical description: a php programed website + mySql database. During this first step, the database would be feeded from the website, thanks to an online input form. The administrator tasks only will be available from the phpMyAdmin procedure, and whose access will be restrict to the programmers. Php language will permit to develop 4 main tools: users session+login+register form, an input form to enter new events and update them, basic visualisation of the events, and a search engine.

Phase 3: September/ October/ November:

Predominance: Programmation > design > research

Objectives:

Spread, exchange and systematize about the first echos about the version 1.0
Make changes and evolutions
Begin to fullfill the white book of the project (methodology, subjectives narratives of people involved in it, recommendations for further developments, proposals, email exchanges, bibliography, webography)
Develop a version 2.0 for 1st dicember 2005
